One of the most significant designs of the 20th century, the Eames Lounge chair and ottoman were inspired by English club chairs that had bulky leather armchairs with rounded arms, and tufted seat backs. The original design was finished with Brazilian rosewood, which was the only option until the 1990s where now there are new wood options.
